Lately, I’ve been working on the final release of the 1.0 branch and in the process managed to learn some valuable information on how the WordPress upload and thumbnail creation functions work (I’ll post an article about that at my other website, Dumpster-fairy.com). Anyway, I ended up reworking the code so much that the next release is going to be a beta version of 2.0. After recieving a few suggestions, I’m also going to work on a sidebar widget for Manga+Press; possibly as a separate plugin. And, this is very important, I’m going to make Manga+Press fully WordPress 2.7 compatible. At the time I released Manga+Press, WordPress 2.7 had just been released so I didn’t really have a full opportunity to adapt the code to fully support 2.7, same goes for the theme that accompanies the plugin. So that is one thing to expect in Manga+Press 2.0; no support for WordPress 2.6 and full support for WordPress 2.7.
Anyway, back to work for me
Later.

*The non-coder cheers from the sidelines and is really glad she upgraded to WordPress 2.7*
Can I use this plugin with my current layout theme? (ChaoticSoul v1.0)… I would really like to use the plugin, but I’d really like to keep my layout. Let me know.
Thanks! <3
Actually, you should be able to keep your current layout. You’ll have to make adjustments to your current theme to support the custom tags but the good thing about Manga+Press is that it’s meant for blogs where the comic is a part of the blog but isn’t actually the focus of the blog, if that makes sense.
However, I’d wait until I release the next version which at this point because of school and job hunting, probably won’t be until the spring.
